ESPLANADE ARTS
Hand-made Screenprints

inspiration
My work is inspired by the wild energy and beauty of Wellington’s coastline, a place I call home and feel a deep connection to. With its dramatic rock formations, shimmering tidal pools, and shifting ocean moods, the coastline offers an endless play of colour, light, and movement.
technique
Screen printing is an art form where ink is pushed through a fine mesh screen. I create paper stencils for each colour, then press the ink through the stencil onto the paper. This process is repeated for every colour, carefully aligning each layer to build the final image.
limited edition
Each artwork is screen printed onto art paper in small runs of between 10 and 20. While the image is consistent, the hand-crafted process of applying the ink ensures no two prints are ever exactly alike. Every numbered piece is a unique variation of the artwork.

ABOUT ME
I am a screen print artist living in a tiny home perched on the Esplanade, along the south coast of Wellington. My windows hover directly over the ocean, offering a constant kaleidoscope of changing colours and light. My delight and challenge is translating the colours I see into the components of a limited palatte screenprint.
My work reflects a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature and and the ocean in particular. Whether it’s a breathtaking sunset, a still rock study, or the wild wonders of the raging ocean, I strive to bring colour and composition through my craft.
